Low swooping flight directly over shallow edges of pond; many swallows and sparrows in the area. The ducks sighted on that pond also scattered into the reeds and tules in this birds appearance. They included the Northern Shoveler; Bufflehead, male and female; Redhead, male and female and a new sighting for me, a Ring-necked pair. The show lasted until 1:30PM when our afternoon wind picked up and even made the ducks disappear into the reeds and small island on the pond.
