Golden-crowned Sparrows at "old Bishop Creek"

Sighting

At lunch today, 3 May, there were 2 adult Golden-crowned Sparrows along Bishop Creek Canal east of the park. I wasn't really too surprised to see them, except that so many wintering White-crowned sparrows (Gambel's) have departed in the past couple weeks. I wonder if Golden-crowneds have a tendancy to migrate later. Fun birds, anyway! P.S. we haven't seen any Mountain ('Oriantha') White-crowneds yet, but any day now.
