On 7 June a female Bufflehead, at Tinemaha Reservoir, was a very late bird. A female Red-breasted Merganser was at Klondike Lake also a very late bird. A female Hooded Merganser was at Tinemaha Reservoir and was only the second to be found in Junein Inyo County. She is a small duck, smaller than the Gadwall she was near, with a shaggy hairdo on the back of her head, and yellow at the base of her bill.
