First seen on my Saturday field trip for the Mono Chautauqua. Went back on Sunday and took the below pics of the bird. Based on the long straight bill and no yellow spot seen at base of bill at any angle viewed through a scope, I'm tentatively calling it a Trumpeter Swan. More folks should go and check this bird out for additional observations. Neck band 8Y7 visible in top photo. Pit Rd. is the dump road off of Benton Crossing Rd. The pond is just west of the road.
