This little guy was perched along Highway 6 on 10July, about 1/4 mile inside Mono County. I find the photo interesting in that the autofocus focussed on a shrub behind the owl even though the owl was centered...maybe it was too small to register, or maybe the Canon Digic processor doesn't recognize owls.
