A female type feeding in the cottonwoods high over the canal. A mostly quiet bird but it did give a tanager call note once and can be found when it flies from one spot to another. Possibly a young bird as it has pale edges to the pale brown wings. All buffy-gold otherwise with a pale tanager type bill. No wingbars.
