On 14 Sep we had a leucistic Eared Grebe at Klondike (these partial albinos are reported every few years, photo below), 3 adult Forster's Terns at Tinemaha Reservoir (uncommon during fall migration), 1 Western Scrub-Jay (nevadensis subspecies) at Fish Springs, 4 Vesper Sparrows on Steward Lane along with 1 Lark Sparrow and 1 Lark Bunting (photo below). The sparrows are occurring when expected but sometimes are hard to find. The bunting is a rare fall migrant from late Aug to late Nov.
