After closer inspection when the bird returned this afternoon and just before dark, the previously reported female Black-chinned Hummingbird is actually a female Costa's Hummingbird. This is based on the wing-tips reaching the end of the tail when it perched on the thin rope from which my other feeders are hanging, and it's lack of tail-pumping when it hovered at the feeder. Thanks to Jo Heindel for her help with this one.
