This bird showed up this morning, small hummingbird, with short bill, blotchy red gorget extending across throat and around to sides of throat on very bright white background that also extends around (but not all the way around) throat so that the ends of this white "collar" is visible when looking at bird from behind. When perched, the wingtips extend well beyond the tip of the tail. Trying to get a picture - hope he comes back! This bird was just chased from my feeder by the female Costa's that's been hanging around (and appears to be getting territorial with my feeder!). Got to get back to work.
