On 19 December a dull female Long-tailed Duck was at Tinemaha Reservoir, about 200 meters north of the dam and about 300 meters from the west shore. She was viewed at 300 meters for about a minute with a 50X Questar before she dove, not to be found again. She had a drab gray-brown back, wings, crown, and breast. The sides were pale grayish as was the side of the face except for the dark cheek patch. The bill was all gray. This might be the bird reported earlier by the Parkers at Pleasant Valley Reservoir, which has not been reported there recently. Also at Tinemaha Reservoir was an adult Bald Eagle and two Vesper Sparrows (eyering, white outer tail feathers and similar to Savannah Sparrow but larger)were on the Big Pine canal road south of Steward Lane.
