Sighting

On 9 March Double-crested Cormorants arrived with 2 adults at Klondike Lake and 2 adults at Tinemaha Reservoir. One Western Grebe was at Tinemaha Reservoir, identified by the eye in the dark, dark sides and flanks and dull greenish yellow bill. Twelve Clark's Grebes at Tinemaha Reservoir identified by the eye in the white, pale flanks and organish bill. A pair were nest building, the earliest eve; this is an annual occurrence usually ending in disaster when the winds come up and the waves tear the nest apart.
