Yesterday Bob and I stopped at the rest stop N of Little Lake hoping to find the Cassin's Kingbird reported by the Tulare Audubon. No Joy. At the Chevron picnic area Bob found a Varied Thrush. Today I hiked up Vermillion Canyon (in the Cosos out of Olancha). Very dry and few birds, but behind the fresh jerky place there was a Ferruginous Hawk and Sage and Le Conte's Thrasher.
