Kudos to Ron! This could have been a white-faced ibis. That would make sense in this area. I have seen them around before, but always standing still when their facial markings could be seen. The black feathers are definitely iridescent in the right light. I did not observe any facial markings on this one, so dismissed the ibis as a possible. My mistake. Thanks, Ron! MONO
