Spent part of Saturday (5/26) in Death Valley: Canada Goose, Northern Harrier, Bank Swallow, 3-4 Bobolinks at Furnace Creek; most interesting was a very green-backed Nashville Warbler singing in the utility/date palm area; Cattle Egret at Stovepipe sewer ponds; Red-eyed Vireo (strong face pattern-cap, bordered supercilium, etc) at Mesquite Springs. Some nice birds out on the desert this weekend; other groups were also out and about, and I'm assuming will post their sightings upon return from the long weekend.
