On 12 June a Least Tern was found and photographed about 10AM at Klondike Lake by Mike Bowen, a tour guide from Maryland. This species is causual in Inyo County, not seen nor expected annually. This sighting is the 12th record, the second latest ever spring sighting, and only the second sighting in June. The spring window is 19 May to 16 June and the species has not been reported in fall.
