While doing field work, I stumbled upon an adult COPO which swiftly scurried away. The adult sort of ran and flew as if it was mimicking to have a broken wing. Right after I notice that I stopped and right in front of me were two COPO chicks. They look like miniatures of the adult, and they blended perfectly with the ground and sticks & such around them. It took me a couple of tries to point out where the chicks where to my coworker as they mimicked their habitat so perfectly. This was quite exciting to me as I have never seen any nightjar chicks before this even though I've been in good habitat and seen plenty of adults.
