I was heading down to the Sonoran Desert and I had to drive through Deep Springs Valley, it's become one of my favorite roads. In the middle of the valley, I thought I saw my Ferruginous Hawk but it wasn't - it was a Short-eared Owl. I had my camera set on black and white, and I'm happy I did - I think a Short-eared Owl is a perfect model for b&w.
