On Feb 16, 2007. Zonotricha sized sparrow. Buffy head with some dark on crown, white breast with partial black bib and a black necklace, bill was pinkish-orange to orange depending on angle. Back with more brown than in W-CSP nearby. This follows a HASP reported here earlier this winter and could be the same bird. Other species of note where Greater White-fronted Goose at the golf course pond by the viewing platform, good assortment of ducks at the golf course and sewer ponds, Lewis's Woodpeckers in the date grove, and good looks at Slate-colored Dark-eyed Junco at the Hotel area. Otherwise it was a bit slow for a pleasant February day with only 1 hummingbird, the 2 expected Pheobe species but no other flycatchers, 1 warbler, and the 3 above mentioned sparrow species, plus with Savanna and Song also at the Inn, there where 5 sparrow species.
