We were able to refind Ted Williams' BGGN from yesterday & enjoyed watching it hunting for food in the wind. It found a butterfly right in the spot where they abound in Birchim, the area we call "Butterfly Ally". A Hermit Thrush has been in Birchim for over a few weeks now, this one looks young (1st yr) with the paler tips to the medium & greater wing coverts making wingbars. The Golden-crown Sparrow was distant but one can see its dark bill compared to the Gambel's White-crowned Sparrow standing below it. The Osprey flew down stream before we could photograph it, but we saw it well.
