Birds at the ponds at the NE corner of the Furnace Creek golf course this afternoon included 1 AMERICAN BITTERN, 3 WHITE-FACED IBIS, 2 COMMON MOORHEN, 1 SORA, 1 VIRGINIA RAIL, 3 BLACK-NECKED STILTS, 1 LONG-BILLED CURLEW, 4 MARBLED GODWITS, 1 SPOTTED SANDPIPER, Least Sandpipers, Long-billed Dowitchers, and Killdeer. There wasn't much evidence of landbird migration, but an Ash-throated Flycatcher was near the visitor center.
