Hi all, On 4/29 I had the following: At China Ranch I had Yellow-breasted Chat, Crissal Thrasher, Calliope and Costa's Hummingbirds, and the other typical birds, as well as a trickle of western migrants. In Tecopa the Godwit and Red-breasted Merganser appeared to be gone; the Bufflehead was still there. In Shoshone there was a singing Cactus Wren in a palm tree on the east side of the road in the middle of town. At Furnace Creek Ranch there was still a male Ring-necked Duck, a Lincoln's Sparrow, the female Greater Scaup and a Sora. At least 50 Yellow-headed Blackbirds were in a tree at Panamint Springs. Decent numbers of western migrants were found throughout the Owens Valley and on some of the side roads to the west. At Tinnemaha Res. American White Pelican (3), Bonaparte's Gull, 3 dapper Franklin's Gulls and three possible female Red-breasted Mergansers too far away to id. Steve Glover Dublin, CA
