This bright male was about half-way into Birchim Cyn from Hwy 395 on the north canyon wall feeding on grass seed heads that adorn the wall in grass clumps. More specifically the bird was past the main spring (n. side) with water cress and just beyond the area of the wall that has the low spot. Took photos, we'll see how they turned out. Ken Hausen of LADWP a Power employee asked us not to come down into the work area to bird anymore because of Homeland Security issues, so if you don't go below the gate, you'll be OK to bird Birchim Cyn proper.
