Yesterday, 22 June, interesting birds at the south end of Baker Meadow included 2 Long-eared Owls (one photographed below), a family of Lazuli Buntings, a silent 'Western' Flycatcher, and 2 Orange-crowned Warblers foraging together (one poor photo below). Later, up near Glacier Lodge a presumed Pacific-slope Flycatcher was on nest under the eve of a cabin (photo). I say Pac-slope because the call note sounded similar to the birds I hear on the west slope of the Sierra, a single high-pitched upslurred suweet.
