For some completely insane reason I decided to climb White Mt – again. Yes, having done it before, I should have known better. Up near the top there were many gray-crowned rosy-finches, with lots of juvs. Some of the juvs were still being fed by their parents and were tame enough that I got a couple shots with my pointy shooty camera. The photos really show how overall brown the young are and I thought others might want to see a plumage that is not easily observable. Up on the very top only my friend, the rock wren, greeted me. It is amazing how they seem to be able to live almost everywhere.
