from 1130 to 1230 I observed the bird first seen by the Parkers 7/05, its most likly the same bird as it had a very broad black necklace as does the bird the Parkers photographed. The bird I saw had some white speckles in the band unlike the Parker bird......molting? bird was in first tree that overhangs the stream on same side of stream as dirt road very friendly bird I think I recall something about this bird being a hybrid?......for the wide black necklace? steve brad encinitas/mammoth lakes
