Sighting

George and I birded along the peninsula at Crowley this morning. Only about 20 peeps total, but three of these were Baird's. Also about three Black-bellied Plover in various stages of molt, 15 Dowitchers, both phalaropes, 2 Greater Yellowlegs, 2 Willets, 10 Marbled Godwits, 3 Long-billed Curlew, many avocets, and 5 Black-necked Stilts. Three of the Stilts looked like almost-adult-sized juveniles and the other two were adults...do they breed at Crowley? Also two baby Eared Grebes riding on the back of an adult, with a second adult diving and then feeding the babies. 12 Black Terns (but no other tern species) and a single Common Loon. And Vesper Sparrows in the rabbitbrush with 7 Sage Grouse. And George's wallet may have fallen out of the car when we were watching the Sage Grouse...if you find it let us know.
